With their boots firmly rooted in the Bakersfield sound of the 60’s and the outlaw country movement of the 70’s, Frances Gumm Frontier is a band for folks who like their country good and twangy with a honky-tonk swagger.
Led by the enticing vocal harmonies of Danny Suran and Erin Fischer, their songs tell the stories of history's lovesick, downtrodden and world weary; whilst not passing up the chance to sing of whisky and skipping town for Mexico.
Danny’s guitar playing is straight out of Nashville and will get deep under your skin with its edible licks. Nick Donaldson on drums, Tony Bonnici on bass and Miles Fahey on guitar create a tight backline; providing a hallmark rhythm section which has groove and tenderness. With guest appearances from renowned pedal steel players including Mark Thomas and Ed Bates, their shows will have you both tapping your toes and remembering the one that broke your heart as you stare into a brew.
